Stiga Eclipse Outdoor Table Tennis Table

I felt compelled to review it since it bugged me no one else did when I was researching. The price on this table cannot be beat if you look around on the net. The table seems well constructed and took very little time to set up as promised. The only con I can find with it is that it can scratch more easily than a normal table (I guess that’s the price you pay for being weather proof, It had a couple paint nicks on it from the start). I’m not too worried about it though since I and some friends put some serious play on it the other night and it looks fine still. The balls seem to bounce nicely on it but my father thought they bounce too much(I saw a review where someone said they didn’t like the bounce). I havn’t had that complaint from anybody else though.

This table came in one package. The only setup needed was to assemble the central rolling part and lift the two halves onto it. Then attach plastic protectors over the corners. It took about 30 minutes. Great design! The table had been a pleasure since then.

The only problem I have had with it are a few screws on the railing were stripped out. One edge was loose. The little protectors that go on the corners were a little challenging at first. Should have waited until the table was fully assembled and then hit them with my palm to get them to snap into place. Eventually that’s what worked.

It’s definitely weather ready…

Would definitely recommend this table to a friend.

The aluminum top surface starts pulling away from the bottom surface within 6 months, warping and blistering. The table then becomes unusable. It needs serious re-design and a recall needs issued ASAP.
